Miley Ray Cyrus's real name is Destiny Hope Cyrus. Born on November 23 1992 in Franklin Tennessee the state of Tennessee, she was brought up in Thompson's Station Tennessee by Tish Cyrus. Her siblings include Two half-brothers, a half-sister, as well as an older sibling and brother. The parents of Miley named her hoping they would have her succeed. Her nickname from childhood, Smiley, due to her cheerful personality, was eventually shortened to Miley. Ron Cyrus was her grandfather. Cyrus began her studies at Heritage Elementary School located in Tennessee. When she was of eighteen, Cyrus and her family moved into Toronto in Canada which is where Billy Ray, Cyrus's father, starred as Doc (2001) on TV. It was around this time when Cyrus determined that she wanted to act too. Her father played her in Doc (2001). She also scored a small role on Tim Burton's Big Fish (2003). Cyrus was in Hannah Montana (2006) (a Disney show that follows a teenager girl who leads a double-life singing) as the main character. Her father also starred alongside her. It became an instant success, and soon sold-out tours were announced as well as merchandising agreements. Cyrus quickly became a star in the eyes of young people. Cyrus was able to take on new roles after the success and fame in Hannah Montana 2006. She appeared as Ronnie Miller, alongside Demi Mood in The Last Song in 2010 and Lola along with Demi in LOL in 2012.
